According to the weather forecast it was supposed to rain from 11am - 8pm…that did not happen, so I unnecessarily carried around an umbrella all day but better safe than sorry. Today I was meeting up in London to have lunch at Seoul Bakery and the food was super cheap and tasted like heaven in my mouth.
My
dish is the one on the bottom left, I had Rabokki which is basically
Tteokbokki with Ramyun, the dish also consists of fish cakes and boiled eggs.
Apparently this is a side dish, I’m not 100% sure but I eat in small portions
anyway so it filled me up quite easily. I also had Kimchi Pancake (top
right); I tried this for the first time when a friend generously
made me lunch and I absolutely loved it, tasting it yet again for the second
time basically felt...I can't think of a word. Literally. I recommend Kimchi Pancake because
I liked it that much (I will one day master how to make this dish).
Both my friends had Bibimbap - the one on
the top left is Chicken Bibimbap and the one on the bottom left is Beef
Bibimbap. I am a vegetarian on Fridays so I unfortunately was unable to try
both dishes, neither could I eat the fish cakes and eggs in my own dish and
therefore I can not comment on their dishes or the non-vegetarian elements in
my own dish. Sucks to be me, right?
We
then went to Candy Cafe, which has a tiny entrance and so it is really
easy to miss. We had bubble tea... well they had bubble tea, I had
chocolate milk (such a child). I have had proper bubble tea but….I don’t like
the bubble aspect of it at the bottom. Next time, I’ll try it with something
else on the bottom rather than the 'bubbles' (I can’t actually remember the
actual name for them).
The only other thing I did in Chinatown today was
visit the supermarket and buy Shin Ramyun (10 packets incase the
zombie apocalypse hits us early) and so this entire entry
ends with me talking about how I ate all day and bought lots of food. I like to
keep my stomach happy.
Thank you for reading.
