Windsor Castle

It's really pretty, isn't it?

It was an extremely HOT day. I used so much suncream in hope I wouldn't tan too much but by the end of the day I became a dark sloth. The sun made me so so so lazy. However the little visit to the castle made up for the overbearing weather. I was thrilled to be able to go inside the Castle itself. Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of the inside as Her Majesty had requested no picture or videos were to be taken.

This was the way we walked before entering 'The Tower', it was so picturesque and it made me content just to be standing there (Disney Princesses got to my head).
At the start, I went on a tour inside ‘the Tower’. Fact:If someone overtook the tower they basically had control over the whole castle. I didn't really understand why…(i’m not strong with my history). I was able to take pictures of some of the castle and buildings surrounding, the rest of it you weren't actually allowed due to security reasons. The picture below actually shows the chapel adjacent to the castle. Later on, I did see the inside of the Chapel, (again, no pictures allowed) and what fascinated me about the Chapel was the fact that there were so many Kings and Queens buried within the Chapel, which I thought was extremely cool.

Shortly after exiting the tower, I played tourist and took pictures of the surroundings. the picture below is one of the first things I saw when I got into the castle grounds. Obviously I couldn't go beyond the black gates but it was just as good admiring the view. In addition to this, we saw four Royal Guards march in through the gates but the only thing I remember them say is 'MAKE WAY FOR THE GUARDS'. Basically a bunch of people swarmed around the guards as they were marching through and so blocked their way, the 'leader' guards voice was so powerful and strong, it felt as though if you didn't move you'd be in serious amounts of trouble.
Later whilst sightseeing and capturing pictures of the sides of the castle, you would not guess who I was able to meet. If you look closely in the picture below, you'll be able to spot my new 'friend' - it's only mutual...on my side.
Have you found him yet?

Yes, it was no-one other than another Royal Guard. Ok, so this will probably sound really weird but I found him to be super cute but his face was so stern and if you look at his fists - they're clenched so tight, that his hands are almost the same colour as his uniform. Also, although under the hat he's wearing it's practically impossible to see his facial expressions - they were very very very very stern, he looked so angry that I thought I had done something wrong. (I don't even know if I'm allowed to fangirl over a Royal Guard like this so I hope this isn't taken in an offensive way).
Now the rest of the pictures don't really have any certain definition behind them. I just took a picture of pretty sceneries so enjoy.
Yes so I thought a picture of a post box was necessary...
This was really pretty, to take this picture I had to find the correct angle and get burnt by the sun but it was totally worth it.
This was my favourite because the flag changes depending on the day. For example, if the Queen was at the Castle it would change to The Royal Standard, however on a normal day it would be the Union Jack. There are several other flags but those were the only ones I remembered - have a memory worse than that of a Goldfish. I just thought the concept of the flag changing was quite cool.

Thank You for reading.
