Today's weather was debatable...(I'm not
too sure why I talk about the weather but I do). Happy Birthday to my
other sister, I've been a terrible person and given her nothing yet
BUT I'm going on holiday next week so I'll get her something from America
or Canada. Anyway I went Camden Lock (which is in Camden Market) today. I realised two things:
1. You need to have a good eye for products,
My problem however was I do NOT bargain,
well I've never really done it before and I feel really awkward saying
'£20?! No no no how about....£15....£10....£12.50?', I can't do it *looks down
in shame*.
Funnily enough, I was the only person
out of my sisters and me, that spent the least amount of money was me. This
would come by as a surprise to anyone who knows me well as I spend money as
though it grows on trees...God given talent really.
So we walked around quite a bit and what
I noticed are that most shops have similar things so I walked around to
see which place was selling what I wanted for the cheapest. I had two
things in mind that I wanted to buy,
1. Long necklace (I desperately need at
least one!),
2. Sunglasses (...they weren't the best but for temporary purposes they'll do).
Fortunately both of these items were
EVERYWHERE.
The first thing I bought was sunglasses;
they were being sold everywhere for £5 so I didn't bother looking for the
cheapest, Instead, I looked for the kind of sunglasses I wanted so I earnestly
searched and found the perfect pair, at last. I will buy a pair in the near future which are actual sunglasses but this will have to do for now.
The frame itself is quite similar to
my glasses and I've recently discovered that these frames actually
compliment my face shape quite well. I noticed that some shops that had
these sunglasses, weren't as tinted as I wanted them to be so it took a
good 30-45 minutes for me to find the right ones. They look quite light at the
moment but when you put them on I found they were darker, especially when
in the sun.
While browsing for glasses
I simultaneously looked for a long necklace. The prices at some shops
varied from £3 - £8 each. I personally thought £8 was a rip off for certain
ones. In addition to this many shops had the same or similar ones so I just
searched and eventually found two. The woman in the shop at first charged
me £8 for two, which I thought was ok but I take absolutely forever to decide
which ones I want and it must have looked like I was going to leave because she
suddenly decided to sell it both for £6. Success.
I was deciding whether I wanted the
one with swallows or the train and eventually I went with the train because it
seemed more unique and it's less likely that other people would buy one similar
to it. The other one purely reminded me of Bambi.
So I'd bought everything I needed and
just had lunch (possibly the cheapest I'd ever eaten for) and I was just
walking around and I came across this really cute stall. The shop keeper
was giving out samples. The fusion tea he was giving out as a taster was Lemon
and Ginger - surprisingly it was really nice - and at first it tasted like
chocolate (for me...maybe I was craving it). I'm a fan of green tea and so he
gave me three options and I picked the Green Sunshine one as it smelt the
nicest and it has Lemon (which I like in my tea).
They do have a website if you want to see or buy some: http://www.in-fusiontea.co.uk/teas-infusions?limit=100
One of my friends had visited Camden Town and I know
for a fact that she really enjoyed using the Henna that she bought from there.
I wasn't searching for Henna but I coincidentally came across it and he was
selling them for 69p each so I didn't hesitate to buy them.

I spent £17.38 today (minus food which cost £4) and
I'm proud of my sudden improvement in money management.
