Skin-Care Routine: Day & Night

I was recently recommending and talking to a friend about the products I use on my face to achieve that super soft baby skin (or try to) and I thought, well why not write about it instead?
I actually have combination skin as I child I had eczema (which I have managed to eradicate, for now); I also have an oily T-Zone, which is a bit random because I’m supposed to have dry skin. Anyway, I'm pretty good at making it look like normal skin so you would not be able to tell.

My main brand at the moment are Aveeno. However, I do not buy my Aveeno products from the UK, I mass buy these products whenever I go to Canada as they have more variety in their products, in the UK you can only get the moisturizers.

My Morning Routine:
1. Simple Facial Wash - this is actually something I recently switched to recently, I used to be committed to the Simple Cleansing Wipes as I was to weary to try other stuff but they didn't really do much (for me). This is a foaming method in comparison to the cleansing wipes so it would be gentle towards the skin.

2. Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub - this exfoliator leaves my face-feeling super soft and complies the purpose of regular exfoliators. Normally I wouldn’t exfoliate everyday but the texture for this is quite similar to the facial wash with the addition of the microbeads so it wasn’t harsh like my previous exfoliator.

3. Warming Mineral Mask - this is amazing; I don't use this everyday maybe once or twice a week. I've gone through 2 bottles already and I love it. It's a self-warming mask with kaolin clay, which is amazing for my skin. I honestly think I just love the fact that it's warm on my face, it is nice to use but I should try another if I do get one and I'll update you guys.

4. Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix - I was slightly weary but I went ahead and bought it. I would not use this everyday because I don't think it's necessary to BUT I actually use it twice a day because I have really horrible pores which I was oblivious too. This has actually had great results, so I would recommend this is you have collective areas of dead skin or clogged pores other than that I would probably use it once every other day if needed.

5. Aveeno Positvely Radiant Toner - this is something I will not buy again. At first I loved it however I find that it left my face feeling slightly sticky after using it. I am going to keep using it till I finish and I'm about half way through the bottle. I did use Simple Soothing Toner which was alcohol free and so I will probably go back to that.

6. Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer - there is a lotion option available but my skin ends up looking like I poured oil over it when I do use it so I actually use the cream. I don't know if this works for everyone but Aveeno Cream/Lotion was the miracle that 'cured' my eczema so I haven't really changed it since 2008 (6 years with Aveeno..woop). It leaves a really nice ‘glow’ on my face and if I don’t do any of the above I definitely ALWAYS use this.

Something essential for going out which I need to do is use is SPF creams. I do own them but I can't seem to find any that have a lighter finish. I really hate when it feels really heavy on my face, I’m going to try and find a moisturizer with SPF in it but as of now I do not have one and I will probably regret it later.

Night Time/Before Bed Routine:
My morning was actually quite packed but it's ok because my night ones quite simple.

1. As usual I use my Simple Facial Wash.

2. Next would be the Glycolic Fix Pads.

3. Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream - I love the smell and feel of this, it doesn't feel heavy on my face and the best thing would be that my morning face is nice and soft. I would buy it definitely again but I'd like to try other things however I will comeback to this if everything else fails.

I'm trying to incorporate eye creams now as my dark circles and bags are pretty bad thanks to university.

If there is anything I could try or even change, I’m open to any suggestions but until then, Good Night (because it's 1am GMT) and Thank you for reading.
