I should have become a photographer.
New Year, New Me…I don’t think so. It’s been over a week since the New
Year and nothing changed. I gave up with Resolutions because I found that I did
the complete opposite all the time. I did however in-cooperate new things into
my lifestyle in hope that I become a more organised, sensible person. So you
can try too, we can do it together.
1. I bought myself a massive calendar from Muji, so that I could
write everything I have to do or if I have anything due. I also stick stickers
and draw on it to make it more visually pleasing. The stickers all have
different meanings but act as a reminder of when I need to do something. I find
this method much more efficient for me because I don’t open books. Ever. That
was a lie. I open novels.

What you’ll need: A calendar, a variety of pens & stickers (optional)
2. I collected receipts last year and added up all the money I’ve been
spending and wrote it all down so that I would be more aware of how I wasted
money. I basically, fastened the receipts to the corresponding page using
paperclips. I think the aim of this method was too guilty myself into not
spending more.

What you’ll need: A diary of some sort, paperclips & a calculator.
3. Due to my shopaholic issue I decided it would be a great idea to open
a Savings Account and put some money in it every month or so, just in case I
really do end up broke when I finish university. If you have REALLY bad
problems like me, I really do recommend you open a savings account. The future
is really unpredictable.

What you’ll need: The bank.
4. I got this idea of pinterest last year and I thought it was pretty
clever. You get a jar of some sort and fill it with memories of the year. I
however didn’t want to reminisce about happy memories on my own so I bought my
sisters a jar each too. I like to be colourful so I did buy coloured paper to
write stuff on but you could totally just rock plain paper.

What you’ll need: A jar, small paper & some pens.
5. Last year I wrote whatever I needed to do on random paper and then
left it lying around thus never getting it done. So, I got myself a to do
list…well it was a shopping list but it doesn’t say that on the pages so no-one
but you, will ever know. This is actually really useful because I’ve written
down so much and actually done it because there’s a constant reminder. Once
I’ve done it I tick it off and it makes me feel so good.

What you’ll need: A to-do-list & obviously pens.
I don’t think I’ve done anything else; I’ll update you if I do.
Thank you for reading J
