A birthday + more impulse shopping = broke shopaholic. As the haul was too big, it was too long so I split it into three parts: a London Haul (two parts) and a Korean Haul – this was the most convenient method.
Boots
The Soap and Glory aisle has been tempting me for such a
long that I could no longer hold back and fell into the hole of ‘3 for 2 deals’.
I forgot to do swatches for these before using them but
Peach Party is basically a goldy-pink sheen blush it is quite buildable. I
picked it up because it was a colour that I’d use when I wanted to go for a
cuter look alternatively this could also be used as a highlighter which is
probably what I’ll use it for as I prefer more matte blushes (which are
difficult to find).
Wonderbronze is obviously a bronzer, again it’s buildable –
I bought it because I needed one more thing in the basket and so it went straight
in. This ‘shimmer brick’ has more matte colour within the wheel - I feel like
I’m going to combine those colours to set a contour and use the shimmery colour
as a blush – don’t know how but I will.
I’ve already use the SUPERCAT liner…I really like the felt
tip as it’s more convenient but the colour dries as a more grey-black as
opposed to a bold black but further down this haul I have a solution – so keep
reading.
I really like nail polish – I own one too many and the
collection doesn’t stop growing. Earlier this year I bought the shade Divine
Wine and was impressed by the colour pay off as well as how long the nail
polish lasted – so I indulged myself with two more. Sun Kissed and Sea Sky –
they’re both from the ‘Summer Bliss’ line. Sun Kissed is a pastel orange and
Sea Sky is a pastel but vibrant Blue. If you do want your nail polish to last
longer I find using the Sally Hansen top/base coat keep my nails from chipping
for a relatively long time.
Maybelline’s Colordrama Lip pencils are my recent addiction
– the two shades I got were 510 Red Essential and 310 Berry Much. I’ve been a
bit obsessed with red for a while so I automatically pick up a red shade with
whatever else I’m getting. Red Essential is a wearable day colour that’s
perfect for summer, Berry Much is more of an autumn shade but who cares – rock
whatever you want wear.
Revolutions Vivid Baked Highlighters give off such a nice
toned sheen. The two shades are Golden Lights evidently a gold toned highlight,
which looks really nice on medium-dark skin (more on the dark side). Peach
Lights is as the name suggest a peachy-pinky toned highlight this looks nice on
medium complexions. The reason I bought both was because my skin tone
drastically changes depending on the season and this summer I seem to have
outdone myself with a tan (I don’t know how we barely had any sun).
I will put up London Part II, next Friday so stay tuned.
