We all know how I love to splurge…I’m deluded and think I’m
made of gold. I was actually doing pretty well until this months ELLE Insider
event at H&M, Oxford Street. This post will be about the huge haul along
with other bits and bobs however I will make a separate post about the actual
event and let you in on the night.
Just to clarify before anyone got confused, H&M do NOT
sell pixi products within the store nor do they sell Totoro water bottles –
those are my ‘bits and bobs’. Let’s start with H&M. Everything I bought at
H&M does not seem to be available online so I’ll put in the closest
alternative but by all means you can go to the shop and buy the actual clothes
yourself.
Jersey Pyjama’s
(£12.99) - I took this opportunity to buy new pyjamas because I haven’t
bought myself any in years. I went all out and bought three because I was going
to give my sisters the option of choosing one, if they wanted one. The Hello
Kitty and White Snoopy are both Jersey Pyjamas which basically means a polo
shirt and shorts, which is perfect for me…not so much for the weather; not that
I care.
Jersey Nightdress (£14.99)
– This leaves the grey snoopy one as the dress, I decided to get this in the
largest size I could find because oversized is cute and also extremely comfortable
to sleep in. Again this one is not in stock (I’m so sorry) but there is an
alternative lilac one which is just as cute.
Black Floral Kimono (£5.99) – Slightly going off topic but I didn’t actually
know this fact about myself till I analysed my cupboard - I have a major
obsession with flowers, floral print and nature. It makes me seem like such a
‘girly-girl’ but honestly I don’t think of myself as that, I just seem to
really like flowers and I just reached out to this kimono because it was just
so beautiful. I absolutely love the
fringe detail at the bottom and as its not completely covered in flowers I
believe I could pull this off in the summer and winter.
Pixi is by far the cutest beauty shop I have seen. It’s
hidden in Carnaby Street so for anyone that wants to go I’ll leave in the
address below (you’ll genuinely need it, if your sense of direction is anything
like mine), however if you’re lazy then you could use the alternative: online shopping. Anyway, the employee almost convinced me to buy everything
in the shop…I think she got a bit too excited, as did I.
Glow Tonic (£18.00)
- The toner was a on my list of things to try as I’m going through different
brands for toners one after the other – this was probably the most expensive
toner I have bought so far but has had a ridiculous amount of great reviews –
also a great thing about it is that its an exfoliating toner (2-in-1) so I was
hooked. I haven’t actually tried it yet but when I get round to it I’ll do a
Toner’s Review.
Endless Silky Eye Pen
in BlackNoir (£11.00) – Waterproof
Gel Liner in Pencil form, that is all it is. I really struggle with my Kohl
Pencil because it’s so stiff so this is such a great alternative as it is Über
soft, like really really soft. When they named it ‘silky’ they were not lying.
When you apply it you have roughly about under a minute to smudge it (if you
want to) after that it does not budge at all. If you do have sensitive eyes
then I would recommend it but it isn’t cheap at all, I bought it in the spur of
a moment (I don’t regret it) as well as the fact that I cry waterfalls when I
use eyeliner. The packaging is also really pretty so I don’t really want to
through it away.
Satin Rose Oil
(£5.00) – There is a perfume version for this but its £24.00 and I really don’t
have that kind of money for perfume. In addition to that scented oil’s last
much much longer on you as opposed to perfume so I went straight for the oil
version. I would greatly recommend buying oil based perfume just be careful
with your clothes become oil + clothes = error.
Totoro Water Bottle (£4.44)
– This was a crazy buy, I’m not even sure what I was thinking when I bought
this but I had a £5.00 off voucher if I spent £10.00 so I bought this and a
couple of other things for exactly £10.00, so technically I got it got it for
£1.67, I think I did well. It’s really sturdy and made from polypropylene - which
is some form of unbreakable strong plastic. I can carry both hot and cold
drinks in the actual bottle, which is pretty unexpected – the description
literally says ‘It’s excellent impact resistance and strength at low and high
temperatures.’ Just a bunch of words and an unfinished sentence but I
understood. It’s also pretty compact so I can carry it around with me without dying.
I hope I am now more encouraged to drink water. (Fact for the Day: Water is
essential for life)
Thank you for reading J
p.s. the address is 22a Fouberts Place, London, W1F 7PW, it would be really easily to go to
Oxford Circus and then find Carnaby Street from there – it should take about 5
minutes for you to actually the shop from oxford Circus but I’ll attach the map
below anyway.
